How can we help?
Answers to the most common questions, and a real person when you need one.
Premium & purchases
How do I restore Premium on a new or reset phone?
Sign in to Google Play with the same Google account you bought Premium with, open StudyTrack, go to the upgrade screen and tap “Already purchased? Restore purchase”. Premium is tied to that Google account.
Is Premium a subscription?
No. Premium is a one-time purchase through Google Play. You pay once and keep it for as long as StudyTrack is offered and supported, without paying again.
How do I get a refund?
Payments are processed by Google, so refunds follow Google Play’s refund policies and are requested through Google Play. We can’t issue refunds directly, but if something went wrong with a purchase, email us and we’ll help.
The upgrade screen says Google Play billing isn’t available.
Open the Play Store, make sure you’re signed in and that the Play Store is up to date, then try again. If Premium isn’t offered in your Play account’s country yet, the upgrade screen will say so.
Backup & sync
How do I back up my study data?
Go to Settings → Backup & Sync. You can export a backup file and keep it somewhere safe, or, with Premium, turn on automatic cloud sync to a private folder in your own Google Drive.
Can you recover my data if I lost my phone?
Only if you had a backup. StudyTrack is local-first and we run no servers, so we never hold a copy of your data. Import your last backup file, or turn on sync with the same Google account to restore from Drive.
How do I turn off sync or delete my cloud backup?
Go to Settings → Backup & Sync. Turning sync off keeps all of your data on your device, and you can delete the Google Drive backup from the same screen.
App Blocker
How do I turn on the App Blocker?
Open Settings → App Blocker in StudyTrack and choose the apps to block. The app then walks you through turning on “StudyTrack App Blocker” in your phone’s Accessibility settings. Blocking only happens while a focus session is running.
Why does it need the Accessibility permission?
Android’s Accessibility Service is the only way for an app to know which app came to the front, which is all the blocker needs. It is configured so it cannot read your screen content, and nothing it sees is stored or sent anywhere.
The App Blocker stopped working.
Some phones switch Accessibility services off after an update or to save battery. Check that “StudyTrack App Blocker” is still on in Accessibility settings, and that battery optimisation isn’t restricting StudyTrack.
Timer, sounds & widgets
Focus sounds won’t download.
Every sound except Rain downloads the first time you pick it, then plays offline for good. Check your connection and tap the sound again to retry.
My timer stops when the screen turns off.
Allow StudyTrack to run in the background: in Android settings, set its battery usage to Unrestricted. Some manufacturers (Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Samsung and others) add extra battery limits that can pause timers.
How do I add a widget?
Long-press an empty spot on your home screen, tap Widgets, find StudyTrack and drag the one you want onto your home screen.
